Dr. Khaikholen Haokip is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Studies and Research in Society and Development, School of Social Sciences. He joined the Centre in January 2013. He received his MA degree in Sociology from the North Eastern Hill University, Shillong. He completed his PhD degree in Sociology from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Kanpur. He teaches courses on Theories of Development, Sociological Theories, Research Methodology and Human Rights. His areas of research interests include Human Rights, Social Movements and Tribal Studies.
