Central University of Gujarat has adopted five villages (Kaka Nu Tarapur, Titoda, Adraj Moti Pundrasan, and Lekhawara) near Gandhinagar district under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. Different societal and environmental activities are going on.

CUG has completed Village / household level survey for one village and for other villages it is going on.

Based on Technology identification and Proposing Solution: Two projects formulation under Technology Development and Customization of solution is approved with financial support.

Sustainable Agriculture System - Groundwater treatment and purification using solar distillation System in Kakanu- Tarapur village, Gujarat (Rs 50,000/).

Water Resource Management - CETP-solid waste treatment and its conversion into biofertilizer (Rs 80,000).

Other activities during the different events like 5th June (Environment day celebration, Swacchta pakhwara week in village, Environmental awareness programme is organised time to time.

  • Encourage the faculty to attend various research-oriented Faculty development programmes.
  • To encourage the staff to publish their research works in reputed journals that have good impact factor and are indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (WOS).
  • Scrutinize the student's project proposals and send them to various agencies for financial support and recommend the suitable projects to encourage the staff to attend/publish papers in various National/International conferences of their specialized areas.
