About the School

Established in 2017, the School of Education in the Central University of Gujarat offers a flagship programme of the University- M.Ed., M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in Education. These programmes aim to equip students with the requisite academic and professional skills in Education and teacher education. The courses offered by School of Education aims at helping the students to explore the most challenging and exciting questions in educational research, policy, and practice and enable them to shape the future world with the transformative power of education.

It would prepare experienced teacher educators for performing various roles in schools, non-profit organizations, NGOs, Higher Education Institutions, government agencies, and beyond. The school is committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the curriculum, in classrooms and in campus culture.

Dear Students, Scholars, and Visitors,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the School of Education at the Central University of Gujarat, where we are deeply committed to the preparation of reflective, ethical, and transformative educators and educationists for the 21st century.

Education plays a foundational role in building inclusive, empowered, and progressive societies. At our School, we strive to uphold this responsibility by offering innovative programs in teacher education, educational research, and leadership development. Our curriculum is aligned with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focusing on interdisciplinarity, experiential learning, equity, and critical thinking.

We offer rigorous academic training, supported by field engagement, research projects, and internships. Our faculty members bring a diverse blend of academic scholarship and field experience, fostering an intellectually stimulating environment where students learn not only to teach but to lead and inspire.

Our School also actively engages with schools, NGOs, government agencies, and educational institutions to build bridges between theory and practice. Through seminars, workshops, community outreach, and collaborations, we encourage our students to become agents of change in society.
