About Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) was announced by Hon'ble Prime Minister on 31st October, 2015 on the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The programme aims to actively enhance interaction between people of diverse cultures living in different States and UTs in India.

The idea behind this programme is to celebrate the Unity in Diversity of our Nation and to maintain and strengthen the fabric of traditionally existing emotional bonds between the people of our Country.

Objectives of EBSB

Promote National Integration

To promote the spirit of national integration through a deep and structured engagement between all Indian States and Union Territories.

To celebrate the Unity in Diversity of our Nation and to maintain and strengthen the fabric of traditionally existing emotional bonds.

Cultural Exchange

To showcase the rich heritage and culture, customs and traditions for enabling people to understand and appreciate diversity.

To establish long-term engagements and create an environment which promotes learning between States.

To promote the learning of different languages and scripts of India and create appreciation for linguistic diversity.

State Pairing Information

Gujarat's Pairing: Central University of Gujarat and Guru Ghasidas Central University, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh had signed MoU regarding the annual periodic activities. Under the EBSB program, various events have been covered since 2017. The major focus of the events has been art and culture training, language learning and site seeing in the respective states.
