Mission

---

• To foster, maintain and support lifelong relationship between the Central University of Gujarat and its alumni by providing opportunities of networking and connecting the students and the alumni.
• To engage the alumni as active partners in achieving the University’s future goals and thereby making everyone a valued member of the CUG alumni community.

Objectives

---

• To provide a platform to share alumni areas of knowledge and expertise and assist in career guidance, research and educational activities of the University.
• To increase employment opportunities through linkages with the industries, and other organizations.
• To provide a forum for the alumni to network with present students, faculty and administration by organizing and coordinating reunion activities of the Alumni.
• To encourage the active participation of the alumni to improve the facilities and infrastructure of the University and to support the University outreach programs.
• To develop a dedicated global community of CUGians.
• To maintain updated information of all alumni.
• To develop a sense of camaraderie among students and alumni with regular interactions.
• To accept any bequest, gift, donation, loan or subscription towards or to accumulate and provide a fund or an endowment and to invest the same and apply the income arising there from or to resort to the capital thereof for any of the objects of the Alumni Cell/Association.
• To mobilize, receive, hold, invest, utilize, transfer and channelize funds and other assets for sponsoring activities in furtherance of the Objects of the Alumni Cell/Association;
• To pursue objects of the Alumni Cell/Association independently or in association with other individuals, groups, associations, societies, institutions, companies, co-operatives and public bodies and if considered necessary, became member of any society, institution or association of persons and/or organizations;
• To organize and/or establish centres, chapters, institutes, units and projects, or to make any other arrangements necessary for conducting and managing the Alumni Cell/Association, within or outside India, and to appoint such agents and representatives or otherwise in order to carry out the Objects of the Alumni Cell/Association;
• To offer scholarships, fellowships and resources financial or otherwise to individuals, groups or institutions to pursue grassroots work, innovative projects, and academic or research interests independently, as part of other organizations or at the Society, that commensurate with the objects of the Alumni Cell/Association and to institute awards, prizes and medals in accordance with the Articles and Bye laws of the Alumni Cell/Association;
• To acquire, purchase, build take on lease, possess, sale, transfer, gift any all movable and immovable assets and properties in furtherance of the objects of the Alumni Cell/Association.

Subscription Fees

---

Anyone who has been awarded a degree, diploma or certificate approved by Academic Council of Central University of Gujarat is eligible for subscription fees.

Apart from passed out students, any staff of Central University of Gujarat (both teaching and non-teaching), who had served Central University of Gujarat, either regular or on contract shall also be eligible for subscription fees.

Subscription fees is Rs 2200/- only (That includes registration fees Rs. 200 /- & Life membership fees Rs. 2000 /-). The alumni can pay in two instalments. Rs 1200 as first instalment and Rs 1000 as second instalment. The bank details are as follows:

Upload / attach the provisional / original degree / diploma certificate issued by Central University of Gujarat, upload a recent photograph and upload a scanned copy of proof of money transfer. The alumni has to email the receipt/ proof of their payment to alumniassociationofcug@cug.ac.in and mark a copy to the respective school’s nodal officer.

For staff, who is serving or had served at CUG, and retired or left CUG, may pay directly to the bank account, through online Rs 2200/-

The staff then should send across the payment receipt scan copy with their name, designation served and transaction no and date to alumniassociationofcug@cug.ac.in

Alumni are integral part of the development of the University. The University values the contribution of each of the Alumni. Contribution can be of both cash and kind.
