About Internal Complaint Committee

The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) at Central University of Gujarat has been constituted as per the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and UGC regulations. The committee is responsible for receiving complaints of sexual harassment and conducting inquiries in a time-bound manner.

The ICC ensures a safe and secure environment for all employees, students, and visitors at the university. It works towards preventing sexual harassment, providing support to victims, and taking appropriate action against perpetrators while maintaining confidentiality and fairness throughout the process.

Committee Composition

The Internal Complaint Committee is constituted with senior faculty members, external experts, and student representatives to ensure fair and unbiased handling of complaints. The committee composition follows UGC guidelines and includes:

Presiding Officer

Senior woman faculty member with experience in academic administration

Faculty Members

Two faculty members committed to gender equality and human rights

Student Representative

One student representative preferably with legal background

External Expert

NGO or association committed to women's rights or legal expert

How to File a Complaint

If you have experienced or witnessed any form of harassment, discrimination, or misconduct, you can file a complaint with the Internal Complaint Committee. The process is confidential and designed to protect all parties involved.

Steps to File a Complaint
  1. Step 1: Download and fill the Internal Complaint Registration Form
  2. Step 2: Submit the form to the ICC within 3 months of the incident
  3. Step 3: The committee will acknowledge receipt within 7 days
  4. Step 4: Inquiry will be completed within 90 days
  5. Step 5: Appropriate action will be taken based on findings
